With 75 years of operating in the business, Willerby is one of the UKs largest manufacturers of holiday homes and lodges designing homes that are both practical and beautiful for their clients. Passion
Founder, Walter Allen, had a flash of inspiration to make a difference to the leisure industry. Previously building beehives, he decided that he would turn his passion into building caravans.
It is his hard work and dedication to the industry that allows Willerby to be where they are today. Starting their manufacturing in only a tiny village they have now sprawled out to a 90 acre site in Hull.
Heritage
We were delighted to be invited to visit their manufacturing plant in Hull during the PHHPA road trip. Bradley Chapman was warmly welcomed to their beautiful showground where they exhibit their 75 years of heritage.
From the latest bespoke homes, though static caravans all the way back to a tiny touring caravan which was one of the earliest they ever built, it is all there like a storybook. It is a story of high quality finishes and attention to detail that means it is hardly surprising that they are currently working tirelessly to produce beautiful homes for people throughout the UK.
Design
Willerby only employs the very best designers, engineers and craftsmen, many of which have been with them for decades. They believe this is one of the reasons why they are still going strong after 75 years. It’s all in the detail.
